HMDC Model Congress Competition

Model Congress is an exciting simulation where elementary school students learn how the United States government makes laws by becoming members of Congress themselves. During the program, students choose a problem they want to fix, write their own bill to solve it, and work with other young representatives in committees to debate and improve their ideas. The experience culminates in a full congressional session where students present their bills, answer questions from their fellow representatives, and vote on which bills should become law, giving them hands-on experience with democracy in action.
