HMDC Model UN Conference (Spring 2024)

  1. Over the three-day MUN conference, students will take part in a simulation of a real United Nations committee. On the first day, they will give opening speeches, set up a speaker’s list, and start debating the main issues. The second day will focus on working together in moderated and unmoderated caucuses to create and refine draft resolutions. The final day will involve presenting, debating, amending, and voting on these draft resolutions. This experience helps students understand international relations, improve public speaking, and develop negotiation and critical thinking skills.
